Our Story

Fellowship of Hope Church began in February 2007, when three pastors, Sara, Vuth and Vuthy, came together with a common desire to share the love of Jesus in Cambodia’s poorest communities.  With support from a fellow ambassador for Christ, Bunhuor Lim, and his family in the United States, the church was planted in Phnom Penh and began to grow.  We were excited to see more and more Cambodian people come to understand their need for God, and His amazing love for them.

More churches were planted in the provinces of Takeo, Kandal and Mondol Kiri, and we partnered with existing churches in Koh Kong province, which had been planted by Pastor Sarouen.

It’s been an incredible journey so far, seeing church members grow in their faith, and lead their friends and family into a relationship with God.

As the church has grown we’ve been blessed to be able to develop a number of ministries and projects through which we can share God’s love with those in our community.  We invite Non Government Organizations to partner with us in these projects, as we reach out to people in Cambodia with the love of God.

These ministries and projects include:

Happy Village Project: which provides for the basic needs of poor families, and helps them develop their lives through training and education.

Tarsha’s Legacy Centre: which provides education, spiritual input and health care for children who come from poor families.

Fellowship of Hope Soccer Ministry: which ministers to young men, providing the opportunity to participate in a sport they love (which they couldn’t afford to do themselves), while also teaching them the Gospel and encouraging them that God has a great plan for their life.

Cell Groups: which are held with those interested in God’s word throughout Cambodia; in homes, churches, villages, slums.  People come to know God and hear from Him through studying His word, praying together and fellowship.

Work Skills and Education Project: which provides education and training scholarships to young people, enabling them to enhance their job prospects and ministry opportunities.

Harvest of Hope HIV Project: which provides care for families affected by HIV, especially focusing on the needs of children, ensuring they receive medical care along with education and provision for their basic needs.
