Work Skills and Education Project

The Work Skills and Education Project provides education and training scholarships to young people, enabling them to enhance their job prospects and ministry opportunities. For many Cambodians, simply completing secondary school can be unaffordable. So most Cambodian people never even dream of going to University, completing a formal trade apprenticeship, or improving their language skills and employment prospects.

Through God’s provision, the first year of this project enabled 15 young people to enage in further education. 5 of these have begun studies at University…

2 young ladies have nearly completed hairdressing apprenticeships, with the view to starting their own businesses…

6 teenagers have been taking part in after-school language and computing classes to complement their secondary education…

And many of the staff at Serve Cambodia’s education centres have been attending either university or local English schools to improve their ability to teach their own young students. Everyone who takes part in the Work Skills and Education Project also receives mentoring and encouragement on a regular basis – and they would appreciate your thoughts as many of them juggle studies with full time work and family responsibilities.
